On October 1st, we went to a baseball game of Hosei versus Meiji.
Here are some of the comments from our students:
“I love watching baseball so it was really exciting for me. The cheerleading, which Japanese call them, the Ouendan was super intense.”
“Although Hosei lost badly to Meiji, I could feel the spirit inside the team, which made it all worth it.”
“Overall, I am pretty happy with my experience at the game. It was very heartwarming to see the students support their baseball team with every bit of energy they had.”
“When we went into the stadium, what I saw surprised me a lot. The place was much bigger than the one in Taiwan and there were a lot of people wearing the orange color clothes.”
“This was my first time seeing a baseball game. At the beginning I was quite confused because I did not know any of the rules of a baseball game.”
“The baseball game itself was very interesting as it was my first time watching a baseball match. Although I do think the Hosei team did their best, I think they could have done better.”
“I am sure people who are not from Japan were overwhelmed by the cheerleaders more than the game. It sure was a great experience for all of us.”
