On November 29, we invited Mr. Roland Honekamp, First Counsellor and Head of Political, Press and Information Section, Delegation of the European Union to Japan, Tokyo to speak with our students.

Not only did students in the “Global Society 1” class of the SCOPE program participate, but some students from the faculty of Sustainable Studies (Japanese program) joined this special lecture too.

First of all, Mr. Honekamp gave a lecture to explain the general outline of the Ukraine war and the European Union’s role to help Ukraine. In addition, he focused on the important relations between the EU and Japan.

After the lecture, a lively question-and-answer session was held with the students.

Lastly, the classroom was opened and all the students had free talk time with him.
