The Fall Degree Conferral Ceremony was held on September 11, 2021. Unfortunately, the ceremony was held on a smaller scale this year, the same as last year, due to the spread of COVID-19. However, by live streaming, new students, who could not enter Japan, were able to participate in the ceremony, from all over the world.
In his speech, the president of Hosei University, Katsuya Hirose, looked back on the year and a half facing novel coronavirus challenges and encouraged the graduates by saying, “Now that you have reached a turning point in your life, in the future, please be sure to acquire something important for you from the things you have not done.” After the ceremony, all the doctoral program graduates, the master’s program representative, and the undergraduate program representative received their degrees. At the end, all the attendees listened to the school song. Many of the graduates took commemorative photos on the stage.
On this day, a total of 208 undergraduate and graduate students graduated from Hosei University.
